There's a philosophical question there

Can you "win" on xG and yet still, subjectively "squeak a point".

I don't see it as incompatible.

It's pretty much the definition of a game you dominate without scoring for 80 mins and then are relieved not to concede in the 10 minute spell, innit?

Besides, I thought we'd agreed that we were taking xG far too seriously?
