A few more thoughts on last night

- As others have pointed out Gibbs and Hayden doesn't really work. Too similar and too much facing back towards their own goal. We looked better when Nunez came on and maybe having Hayden next to him could cover for the fact when he does give the ball away in dangerous areas.

- I like the fact that Smith is always honest in his post match interviews. E.g. he said we were a bit s**t in the 2nd half when we were moving it about too slowly.

- We really lack players who can break the lines and carry the ball forward in the opposition half. Only really Onel at the moment but he lacks end product most of the time. Steipi used to be great at this and was an under appreciated part of Farke's first promotion team.

- Ultimately this is a bit of a stale squad which lacks any real star players. Noone looks a level above the championship, which is a bit of a pre-requisite of a top 2 team (as we have seen in the past). There are some players who might become star quality (Gibbs, Omobamidele, Sara, Nunez, etc) but probably not until next season. We are probably around where we deserve to be and I don't think a new manager would magically transform them into world beaters.
