Yes, it is the floodlight supports. It can vary from a mild nuisance to a real pain, depending on the seat. Some obscure a line on the pitch, some obscure part of the goal or the corner flag. If you are lucky, you can kinda bob your head left and right as the play proceeds and not miss much.
If the kids are little, you may even be able to bunch up and improve the worst of it.
My advice would be to go in the corner by the south stand. There are often seats there that the programme sellers come and use partway through the first half and they just take what is available.
I've not seen the corner full all season and am sure you will be fine, especially if they are littl'uns
