Hmm…

I feel Neil Adams’ team would be an act we all quite like and have a soft spot for and are really hoping that they do well, but they don’t quite achieve it. Maybe like when Cliff Richard appeared in Eurovision and only ever managed to come second.

SAN’S team strikes me as a punk rock group, charging in noisily, battering their way through songs, capturing moments of absolute glory before fading away. I’m thinking The Damned maybe with New Rose being the Play Off final and Captain Sensible’s Happy Talk being the Prem games. (Don’t get me wrong, I like to happy talk but it was difficult to take it seriously as an example of punk rock)

Controversial one for Hughton’s team. I’m happy to go with Yes as Shoddy suggests, but really it needs to be a group that is pretty bland, pretty safe, and you feel mean disliking them because there’s nothing hugely wrong with them, it’s just that they’re not exciting. For me therefore I’d pick someone like Level 42 or Coldplay. I”d just like to add that I loved a couple of the Coldplay singles, but equally I think there were two matches with Hughton’s team I also enjoyed, so that seems fair enough.
