I didn't know that

Had a weird experience in a hotel the other week. Old place, converted factory. Got woken up to the sound of someone stomping their boots up and down the corridor outside my room at 3 in the morning. Opened the door to tell the person to give it a rest and no one there. Long corridor so the person couldn't have walked out of sight. Sounded like footsteps on wooden floors when there were carpets. Not one for ghosts but couldn't explain it either. Not the best nights sleep.
