To be fair I don't think his "overall" recruitment has been bad.

He also picked a good head coach for the championship level in Farke.
Sold a ton of players for big money that has clearly kept the club afloat.
But sometimes with any form of gambling your luck runs out.
You buy the players with the same criteria, but they just don't work out.
Virtually every club our size goes through this.
Football is cyclical, that's why few managers last very long at the job.
Remember the Charlton model, then the Swansea model, the Sheff Utd model, then the Burnley model....

It works till it doesn't!
