For me one oh that biggest issues is that the whole squad needs a big refresh. We need a set of new hungrier players.

The rebuild probably needs a new sporting director and also a new vision / purpose. There is a general malaise around the club that has the feel of a transitional season.

I must be the only fan left who likes Dean Smith and thinks sacking him won’t really address the wider issues. I an however concerned with some of the coaching and worry that the loss of his previous assistant (Richard O’Kelly) is part of the problem. Smith and Shakey have never been a success anywhere together.

One minor plus is also that he is bringing through young players. Gibbs, Rowe, Tomkinson, Springett etc. hopefully these can be the core of a future side.
