DS: “Sargent is fine, he is training today. Byram had a hip issue, we’ll assess him today.”

DS: (on Dimi) "It would be a push to start him. He's been out a long time, since the Wigan game, the first home game of the season. I've not faced a situation like this where we've had 15 games of a season and I've lost five players who can play left back."

DS: "I cannot control the narrative when we lose football games. I’m not being bullish, but we have had the second most shots in the league. We should have beat Preston and Luton.”

DS: (on club accounts) “No, I’m not an accountant. I don’t look at the figures.”

DS: "We are evolving as a team all the time. If we can build, and better from the goalkeeper, we have a good chance of getting at their back three.”

DS: “Ben Gibson should not get blamed for that goal (against Luton). He never got helped out by his teammates.”

DS on injuries: "Andy should be back after the World Cup. Sam is back on the grass, Lungi will be training during the World Cup and Adam Idah, we'll look to get him back training as well."

DS: (On Sheffield) “I’ve said before the teams who have been in the Premier League recently have good squads. It will be a tough test.”

DS: "I'm not interested in a winning Lettuce and I've warned you before about asking stupid questions, now please leave."
