Why is it so dramatic?

Bad recent results yes, but a win last night (and we looked the more likely until they scored) would have put us top of the league. We also had the joint top scorer in the division.

Ugly football, yes. But we’ve had that as often as the sexy stuff over the years.

Signings last season weren’t great but that was mostly Webber. Smith isn’t the nasty piece of work Roeder seemed to be. Lambert too by the way but he was “our c**t” until he wasn’t.

Is it not that things we would be disappointed about 20 years ago must now outrage us as we demand to be satisfied?
