This season has made me realise again that in general I’m a massive optimist

I think every new player is going to be amazing [footnote - I didn’t think this about Hooves or Uncle Peter]

I think we’re going to be great every season

I regard every new manager as full of promise

So basically when things start to come off the rails I have a strong tendency to stick my fingers in my ears and sing “lalalala I’m not listening”

Dear 2022-3 Season, please come right so we can all be happy again. Thank you. Xx
