I agree that failure to make such simple passes can''t just be down to coaching as even the worst coaches will have players passing and professional footballers should be able to do that regardless of their coach.
But I do think the cganges in personnel and formation don;t help. Farke had them playing in patterns that they presumably had drilled into them endlessly. Arguably too much as they were incapable of departing from them at times. But they did at least always seem to have a basic understanding of where their team mates were and the runs they were making. Now that just seems completely lacking hence so many passes going astray. That and the fact that players like Nunez had pretty poor pass completion stats when we signed them.
