But Emi made a huge difference and we’ve never had anyone close to his impact in midfield.

I’ve never said Smith is the great future. I didn’t want him when we were hiring, and I’ve mentioned a few times that if he gets us promoted we should fire/replace him.

And if we put together a run of games which leave us well off the top 2 and out of the top 6 then he should be replaced sooner. Might well happen seeing the recent dip from key players and injuries.
