Yeah I think that is the problem

It isn’t just about Smith. The whole club needs a bit of refresh, starting with the squad. There should have been more churn, including letting Pukki go.

That said I think a lot of clubs would take 5th in the champ as a low point over a decade but it’s all relative I guess
