That's a bit unfair on Smith

we are still 5th and have won a lot of games against teams in the league this season - deservedly so, even if we haven't always been that fluent.

Even though he hasn't been able to unlock Pukki (is it even possible without Buendia?), he has turned Sargent into the top scorer in the league.

He's also had to work without a proper left back or a defensive midfielder all season. And has a massively bloated squad full of players who are not all that talented.

Which isn't to say that Smith has been amazing. Obviously he hasn't, but he hasn't been terrible or clueless either.
