This is where I get glum and apathetic

If we do grind out the points we need to go up, we’ve just seen from the last accounts how much we had to spend last time without being able to compete.

It’s not clear how we (sustainably) raise the funds to do that again, let alone spend the significantly higher amount we’d need to overhaul this squad for the Prem? An MA buyout might do it but does he want to drop £200m on buying and funding us?

But if we don’t go up, how do we backfill the raft of leavers plus bolster for next time?

All feels a little bleak, and that’s without getting into the game day experience.

Fear we are due a huge reset of expectations after this season, one way or another.
