It is absolutely shocking.

If you take that 118m, assume a squad of 30 evenly paid players, then every member of that squad is taking home 75.6k per week.

Clearly our salaries will have been far more skewed towards a few one would guess. But yes, it implies that we had quite a few people earning well north of 100k p/w.

For me this makes the utterly spectacular failure to recruit almost anyone that made us better all the more remarkable. We had, by anyone's standards, an absolute s**t load of money to burn. And boy did we burn it, mostly on s**te and/or players that weren't fit. Cock up doesnt even come close.
