saying the tx % is way too high is a political choice

there are plenty of countries in Europe with higher %s.

Many of whom seem to score higher than us on a variety of quality of life/happiness metrics, if those sorts of things are to be believed.

I don't think there is a huge ground swell of public opinion calling for less tax. Personally I just want them to spend it properly and with less perceived corruption.

I'm fully expecting to have to pay more tax next year and I'm ok with that.
