Risky, but not stupid. We try it with players (see swapping in Gunn). Manager is a bit more of an upheaval and so risk, but the same principles apply.
We’re at the height of our attractiveness to an ambitious manager. We ought to have our feelers out anyway so that we have some plan Bs for next year. We should absolutely be prepared to swap in a better alternative, should one show interest in taking over now.
Except the person you’d expect to be doing all of that, and selling the vision at Norwich, is himself trying to find a new job.
Ho hum.
