His record of improving youth players is outstanding. Something I feel is a real weakness of our current management team.

I am not just looking at this as 'the grass is greener', I have just not seen anything since Smith has been here to suggest he is a good manager.

We have this small window of opportunity, due to the parachute payments and quality of squad at the manager's disposal. If we blow it this season I fear we will be back to mid table Champs (at best) for the foreseeable future.
