As it stands, and maybe it’s just me….

I can’t imagine the squad we have now having any hope in the PL. The squad needs a fair bit of turnover in the summer whatever league we’re in, and the best chance of staying up is to surf the wave of momentum after promotion, get a good start and take the pressure off when it gets tougher in autumn / winter. If we’re changing the core of our squad, any momentum is lost.

I hear what you’re saying about the style being more pragmatic, but from what we saw last season it was only marginally more solid against better players and even less effective going forward.

I don’t blame smith, I think the recruitment last summer was particularly awful and we’re paying for it still. I love onel, but rashica and tzolis needed to be much better.
