sadly nope, not possible

we had to "sanitise" all our kit before deploying over the border so anything other than issued kit went into a brown envelope such as phones, anything that could identify you or your family like photos, letters, bank cards etc. i don't think there were smart phones then anyway? i did have a camera but that gor dinged in the envelope as well. we also had to write the letter home to a loved one in case we got deaded. that's quite a tough old gig to do actually. i burnt mine after i got it back. how's your lad doing? hopefully he's thriving on it!
