Don't get me wrong, Canada is great and maybe it's a North American thing but I cannot stand the scale of the cities. It's like they have so much space that everything is really low density and dominated by enormous roads and freeways through their cities. Spent quite a bit of time in Alberta, Edmonton and Calgary are interesting places but practically impossible to get around without driving everywhere. Vancouver was great, loved being close to the sea and the mountains and generally more friendly as a pedestrian.
