Back from our second game of the season

The first being the Hull debacle. The first 20 or so minutes of this were worse. Blackpool dominated us, and whenever we did get the ball, if we tried a pass longer than about 5 yards the ball went straight to a tangerine shirt. Big Andy made a mistake and let one of theirs through on goal but he muffed. And then Blackpool gave Teemu the ball in the centre circle...

Which transformed us. The ball barely left the Blackpool half again before half time, We hit the woodwork twice, there were a couple of periods of ping pong in their box. We could easily have gone in 4 up. But we didn't.

The second half was more even, both keepers made some flashy saves and Blackpool launched a sort of bombardment in the closing minutes, but whilst I always worry at 1 up - they never looked remotely like scoring.

One thing that worried me after Hull was that neither Big Andy or Max seemed to be near their best that wasn't the case today. Even when everyonee if fit, this looks like our best back 4 to me.

Nunez was excellent, but Ramsey was a bit in and out I thought. But he played really well in that 20 minutes before half time. If he can turn in 90 minutes like that we'll be hard to stop.

Up front Onel clearly had them terrified. While constantly putting 2 or 3 players on him did have the effect of largely neutralising him. it left room for others to play. Sarge put in a good shift, but he isn't a winger - however he did move in and swap positions with Teemu well, which was encouraging. He also looked better through the middle (wasn't a penalty though).

Man of the match: Pukki who won it for us, but a very honourable mention for Nunez.

The 53rd minute applause didn't happen in the away end.
