Sometimes I feel in England we get caught up in the obsession with talent rather than

just ability.

“And he’s still only 19!” Before we know it he’s 28 and no better than as a teenager (eg Barkley, Walcott) or maybe worse because he’s lost the fearlessness or pace that compensated for his lack of top ability (Owen, dare I say Rooney, Walcott, etc).

Talent doesn’t win tournaments. For that we need current ability and mindset.

Note - Bellingham is already a capable top footballer.
