Why does Russia have to keep expanding???

Because Russia wants to expand their influence and dominance. If a country does not do as they are told, then that country is a problem and must be punished in some way. Are the Ukrainians dictated to by Russia? No.

Why can't countries co-operate with each other? If you have one country trying to rule the roost all the time this only leads to more conflict and human suffering. The world cannot afford to have nuclear armed countries in conflict with one another as there won't be a habitable planet earth left to live on.

This conflict must be ended by diplomacy. I don't see any of that going on. Only more Russian troops are being sent to the Ukraine. This is just going to result in more death, destruction and refugees. If conflict continues without any ceasefire and talks to try and resolve it then every day that passes just leads to a greater likelihood of nuclear conflict. Worrying times.
