Think the break has come at a good time for us

We need to regroup as much of the football in the last two games has frankly been utter sh*t! Given that I will gladly take the 4 points and move on!

For me Smith needs to look at the balance of the front 6. I think we miss a playmaker in the role behind Pukki and either Dowell or Todd should be playing there. We are also very badly missing a CDM who can collect the ball from the centre backs and build. Because we don’t have this we become very predictable, particularly when big Andy has it. He seems unwilling at times to carry the ball forward or play straight. He just goes out to Max every time.

Because we are lacking a playmaker/player who can pick a through ball there was too much side to side passing today and not enough pace in our attacks.

WBA probably one of the worst teams to gift a goal like that to. They are a pretty solid unit and actually looked quite decent in the rare moments they were not time wasting or sh-*housing.

Think Sara looks ok but don’t see why we paid £8m for him. That’s a bit of a worry.

Things for Smith to ponder but it’s the first quarter of the season done and we are averaging 2 points a game so pop that in the locker and move to the next set of 10 games!
