I'll be honest, it feels to me like the whole world has gone mad

For a whole bunch of reasons gas is much more scarce than it has been for decades, and every nation is kind of totally dependent on getting the gas they need. We are all chasing the same insufficient supply. As a result, the price has gone up by...well, i dont know a factor of 5? 10?

And our national plan is basically just to crack on, let everyone keep doing what they're doing, and roll all the cost of that into a big bill that we'll send to our kids. Am I the only one that thinks this is mental?

Don't get me wrong, I know we've got to do something and the consequences of doing nothing are unthinkable. But really, chucking a hundred billion at year at this is what we've got? Really?

With Truss promising tax cuts as well, debt repayments costs soaring as inflation explodes, I'm personally worried about bankrupting the country - in 18 months time we might have the IMF in.
