But I did hate everything about us signing him.
He was a loan who didn't materially improve us,and through no fault of his own,disrupted the squad of players we did own. It was the total opposite of Skipp.
The result was it contributed to our relegation and has now earned Chelsea a further 10 million and shown them he's not up to snuff for their ambitions.
I don't blame Chelsea either, we do the same,just at a lower level.
The 10 million eye rolling is mainly because it's showing ,front and centre,that £10 million signings are likely to be very middling. (Not unproven, he's shown his current level last year)
This extrapolates to be needing to spend £25 million ish for proven performers
In the current economic climate anyone really thinking about these numbers (they come from milking us fans,if not now, eventually) should be bewildered and appalled
