Michael Bailey on his post video thing last night was saying similar.

His view and (after years of hoping for the best in the Prem only to have my Happy Clapper, Pollyanna-erish Glad Game ways cruelly squashed out of me) now my view is that the Championship CAN'T prepare you for the Prem, so there's no point trying. The important thing is to get promoted and then see what you can do.

(He also implied we're second, not because Deansmith is now some sort tactical genius, but because the rest of the league is so weak this season)
