take the 7% for 7yrs then convert to 10% of the club which if we assume it's worth £100m (giving him 10% for ~£5m), or take the £10m back.
Bit of a chump change investment for him (depending how much he's paying for Foulger's lot and assumes we make enough profit each year etc).
I'm not really seeing why we are doing this unless D&M have got a very attractive side agreement on their shares and this is his way of testing the waters.
Unless I'm missing something 'durrrrr', or my maths is out.
