There's a lot of discussion of trigger events; presumably there's agreement as to what the real trigger event would be that would lead to that transfer in equity and ownership. And his presence on the board is a voting one presumably if he buys out Foulger. So most of the groundwork is done.
And he may decide he doesn't like football and go home and give his shares to the retired greyhounds home.
