As I've pointed out every time this is discussed - no one simply 'invests' in a football club, and a non-controlling stake is essentially worthless.

Sounds like this is being set up to give him a place on the board in return for a chunk of investment, so he can dip his toes in the water.

If this all goes to plan I'd expect a full takeover.

Shortnof someone stumping up for a full takeover this is the likeliest route towards that.
