But sadly there is very little objective evidence to back that up.

Farke didn’t get anything much out of cantwell, rashica, Sargent, McLean, Sorensen or dowell either. At least not without buendia.

I don’t disagree that farke was a gem, or that he was Webber’s scapegoat, but I don’t believe he was a miracle worker either. The players just aren’t THAT good. It’s not like we didn’t make individual errors under farke, or defend set pieces badly, we absolutely did. Smith is guilty of not improving on those weaknesses whilst also losing the identity farke provided.

Trafford Canary is spot on - the balance is off. We need to get the core of the team right and go from there.

Not sure that’s something that can be done in this window, in fact I’m sure it’s not. More fundamental personnel change required.
