Ditto, but he's a Striker who runs around and gives 100% but can't score for toffee

All I can remember from last season is that two goals came off his bum in a cup game, that great/fluke goal v Watford and a proper header in the same match. Was that it?

Players should not be booed - that's awful (though I'm not surprised) but I'm afraid he is the total opposite of an instinctive striker...
