The Lighthouse at Aldeburgh is good. Get upstairs if you can.

Dolphin at Thorpeness is good. We eat there fairly often and have stayed there over Christmas pre covid. Old Hall Farm Cafe/Restaurant just outside Southwold is also great. Good quality food and friendly staff. It has glass walls round the outside so very bright. Also good parking and walks along the river as well. Playground for kids if you have any with you.

In Southwold we used to use the Nelson but they've stopped doing food so try the Sole Bay. Give the Red Lion a miss unless you just want a drink.
