Exercises in abject surrender. Zero belief. A whiff of adversity and we folded up like a deck chair under the slightest pressure. Conceded a goal? Everyone better give up then, and feel sorry for themselves.

The Lambert era was the absolute opposite of this. Every week the team rocked up and simply said “f**k it” and gave it a right good go. Sometimes we got humped anyway, but it never felt empty and pointless.

I’d love to feel that again.
