you go for your first choices and get it done because there is no other interest, or the agent doesn't decide to try and spark a bidding war?

I dunno, but there are more parties in transfers than just us, and its not like we are Man City or Barca where players/clubs we can bully it through.
Its a complicated process, its good to be prepared early and do the ground work, but its not always going to go quickly even so.
