Been to the Commonwealth Games Today....Ping Pong (but good Ping Pong!)

NEC. Tbf I was a bit of a sceptic about the games, but wandering around the NEC (other sports were taking place at the same time) was a bit of an eye opener. The amount of athletes from places such as the Maldives, Vanuatu, Cyprus, Mauritius, Ghana, Fiji etc etc who were seemed genuinely pleased to be there and competing even they will almost certainly lose was really good to observe. Good day, have tickets for Athletics and 20/20 Women's Cricket next week and if it is anything like as good an atmosphere as today then I'm a convert.

And on a totally different subject a very good mate of mine is a Cardiff season ticket holder and fanatic. He will be there tmw (120 mile drive e/w for him) and I'm meeting him in a pub at 9.30pm. Will get a review of the game from the Bluebirds perspective which will be interesting.
