It's not just last season, Webber hasn't improved the squad in 3 years

We know our first 11 isn't good enough at the Premier League level. Most fans' first 11 would have Pukki and Cantwell in it? Both can sign pre-contracts with other clubs from January.

The same is true of McLean, Dowell, Hugill, Byram, Hernandez, Sinani.

You'd think 2 or 3 of those (McLean Dowell/Sinani) would appear regularly in the first 11 if not the squad.

If the Kone rumour is true it seems we're randomly about to spunk £30m on a brand new midfield... I don't hate it if we can afford it but would love to know why it wasn't done 2 years ago... or last year...
