Safe standing...

Just reading the Pinkun article on expanding the stadium and I saw the safe standing mentioned. I know the lower River End was standing as that's where I used to stand with my father. But I can't remember if the lower Barclay was seating from the start. I can only remember the old Barclay stand.

Obviously modern safe standing won't be anything like the old days and that's a good thing as anyone that remembers the feeling of being crushed against a barrier will remember. Just seems a stand that was standing before might be easier to convert.
