I left Scouting about 8 years ago... got fed up with the politics at

the local level. But we were still doing it then and Elf and Safety Pin was very much in evidence. The safeguarding etc for the young people was incredible and very thorough. I can though remember doing one when I was a scout, in the 80s where it was in the countryside around Blofield/Brundall and we got so lost we ended up on the beach at Gorleston lol. Got delivered back to event HQ in a policecar.
