But when he broke through he had that drive and power (of shot) where you looked and thought - blimey, here's a player who could play for one of the top clubs in Europe.

He had a brief renaissance at Cardiff and the fans around here were saying that he looked great as a striker.

So, for me, he goes down as one of those players who I thought had a very high potential level and didn't quite make it (for whatever reason)
