It was ridiculous. Our seats were at midwicket. He would run up, deliver the ball and the next thing you knew was the ball thwacking into Dujon's gloves who was standing about 40 yards back! Sir Viv came in to bat later on that day and started tonking it about all over the shop.

I think that it was later that evening that Gatting got up to some 'shenanigans' with a member of the local hospitality trade, and then got sacked.

England actually drew that Test.
