One wonders how many players have such a connection

There is an argument for looking for that commitment from players coming in.
Some will only see the money or regard the club as a stepping stone of course.
Give me the Klosse’s and Zims and Lappins and Holts (Grant or Gary) any day of the week.
Some of these European players do seem to appreciate the city and lifestyle more than our home grown lads.
It’s quite interesting and probably reflects levels of emotional intelligence which are above those of some others.
