Sounds like the player had a little girl who was really sick at birth a few years ago hence wanting to move but while that's thankfully resolved injuries and lack of opportunities (and proximity to Essex) land him nicely in our lap.

This is exactly the sort of signing I think other people pointed out that we were expecting last year.

No we're not going to make money but who cares, I'll take two of this guy screening our back four and make the money off developing in a load of the other 8 outfield spots!!! He's 27 so injuries aside that's potentially 4 quality years. Love this signing.
