Ah. I don't get the Sundays, darling, so will have missed it.

There are two secrets to good porridge though: 1) Use a microwave (and this is the only use of a microwave oven that I don't look down on in a snobby middle-class way) and heat it in the bowl you're going to eat it out of. Oats and milk in a bowl, 2 mins on full (850w, natch), stir, 1 min on full: et voila. Watch out for it rising up and slopping over the edge of the bowl, 'cos it's a b***h to get off the oven.

2) - tea-spoonful of jam stirred in after the above, to make it taste less like cardboard.

Porridge nirvana.
