No, I wouldn't say that. Of course, Rashica has been pretty good. I wouldn't go further than that. But he's been pretty good, and I would have to agree that he's been an upgrade on Onel. Not a massive one. But yes, I can see that.

That said:

Rashica 21/22: 1 goal, 1 assists.
Hernandez 19/20: 1 goal, 2 assists.

So, you know, you be the judge. A well spent 10m?

None of this gets to my main point though. Which is that if you had said to me, in my capacity as Chief Transfer Strategist going into last summer, "should we spunk 20m on left wingers?", I would have said "No, i don't think so. At least not until we're absolutely sure we've replaced Skipp and Emi. I'd love to upgrade Onel, but if we have to live with him playing 50% of minutes this season, well, okay.". That doesn't feel a controversial point to make. The fact that Rashica may have turned out to be a decent-ish upgrade on Onel is a bit by the by, not least if its true that he plans to bugger off now we've been relegated.
