Serious question. Do you understand how standard deviations work?

Let me cut and paste word for word. It will save you from misquoting me out of context.
------------------------------------------------
I just have no idea.
This team might have one of the highest standard deviations ever.
Everything from 9th to 20th
I'm not sure we can even judge too much after the first 4 games.
We still look to be wanting 2 or 3 more quality signings.
-------------------------------------------------

You do understand how standard deviations work and the probability of extreme/unlikely events?
I thought my post was extremely clear that a 9th place finish was extremely unlikely unless you are not smart enough to understand math(s).

I know this is kind of basic but to put it in terms most people can understand. Brighton are currently 9th on 44 points, Leeds are 17th on 34 points and we are 20th on 21 points.
If the pre-season prediction is 17-18th then the 4 SD would be around 9th to 20th (9th being 0.1% , essentially zero)
Because you cant get less than 20th position it would include all point totals 0 to 29 points (with points totals 0-10 being very unlikely and mostly falling in the 0.1% region)

The good news is I became very rich from using this kind of math/logic so I have the time/freedom to f**k around on the internet instead of stealing time from an employer.

Well done me.
