A few random thoughts

1.Does it ever work out when a key member of staff announces their leaving date - Webber a couple of years ago.
2.The premier league is hard going. We had two relegations under McNally and now have two under Webber. Both McNally and Webber changed approaches to try and make it work.
3. Thinking of the above, the most successful was under Lambert when we had a core of hungry players from lower down the leagues. Maybe worth going back down that route (Scott Twine, Zac Williams etc) and try and sprinkle in the odd Pukki, Buendia etc. Much much easier said than done
4.I think having the management TEAM is crucial. Lambert was never the same without Culverhouse. This is the first full season Smith hasn't worked with Richard O'Kelly.
5. Without knowing the facts, when too much of the leadership of the club is in the one pair of hands it doesn't seem to end well.
