Who am I?

I was a respected journalist for the Irish Times during the 1970s.

It was only after I conquered fear of flying that I came to Britain to pursue a TV and radio career.

I was pretty much unknown until Game For a Laugh.

I went bankrupt in 2004

I'm probably most remembered for the gameshow Going for Gold where I say "Who am I?" far too often

I wear a shocking wig and my name rhymes with belly
